A simple swivel lamp built using a vintage cymbal as a shade and featuring a 1920's Robert Schwartz base.
As a bonus the action on the push through switch makes the cymbal chime faintly when turning the light on.

Height of sophistication

“The height of sophistication is simplicity”
— Clare Boothe Luce

This is a pendant light I built around an antique emeralite shade. The simplicity of the design draws attention to the imperfections in the glass emphasizing its handmade origin.

This is the start of something new for me, I’ve been working with lighting at a hobbyist level for a couple of years now but I’m ready to break into more professional circles.

I like to think that I bring a new perspective on the things I’m working with, but words are meaningless unless backed up by action. In the meantime, watch this space for updates on my projects and other activities.
